Globalization and economic concentration: implications for economic policy and development

Economic globalisation is used by different trends of economic thought and by different political proposition. However, this expression has very different understanding and implications depending on economics analysis. This paper contains some of the more usual meaning of economic globalisation and it introduces initial empirical evidence of this globalisation on trade, investment and incomes on the world economy. Finally, it invites you to reflect on the implication of transformation of the new international economic context to economic policy and economic development.
