A new Central American structural model? The neoliberal reformism in Latin America and structural change in Costa Rica

In this paper we propose a structural model to explain the behaviour of Central American socioeco-nomic systems. This model has been done from an abstraction of Costa Rican case. The implementation of the reformist development model in Costa Rica, that is the same as most of Latin American countries have, has caused a structural change in this socioeconomic system. This can be observed mainly in the change of structural relationship or laws. This structural change has caused that the primary-exporter domestic-industrial model, which characterizes the socioeconomic structure of Costa Rica and most of Central American countries, can be replaced by a new one. Therefore we introduce the multi-exporter model in this paper. This model may characterizes most of Central American socioeconomic systems.
