Institutions created in Bretton Woods, specially the IMF or very directly related to him (as GATT), could have given origin to differences of criteria on the related problems specially those related to balances of payments. In period 1948-1994 they were established some procedures of cooperation to avoid such problems. The creation of the WTO, next to the confirmation of the used systems that are described in the work, has seen an increase of the cooperation in some financial matters.
