propiamente dichos (PED) y los países menos adelantados (PMA). En este artículo se
estudian las características socioeconómicas de los PMA y las reformas que han llevado a
cabo en estos últimos años, y se analiza el papel que ejerce el comercio exterior en el

The paper focuses on the evolution of the economic structure in UE countries during 1985-1996 period, analysing the composition of the their productive structures an their trade relations. We show that convergence on those variable had been partial, existing important differences among some countries, especially when the sectorial composition is observed.
