The next World Economy Meeting will be held in Jaén on May 18 and 19, 2026 in Jaén, organized by the Department of Economics of the University of Jaén under the theme Economic Development and Reconfiguration of the World Economy, which will be held on the days.
The aim of this meeting is to foster debate and scientific exchange on the profound changes currently affecting the international economy. In a context marked by rising social and economic inequalities, as well as structural transformations on a global scale, the congress seeks to bring together specialists to reflect on emerging trends, challenges, and potential economic policy responses.
Academics, researchers, and doctoral students are invited to submit papers addressing, among others, the following topics:
- Development and Economic and Social Inequality in the Global Economy.
- New configurations of international trade and finance.
- The impact of digitalization, the energy transition, and climate change.
- Challenges for global governance and economic institutions.
- Public policies and strategies for inclusion in an unequal world.
