The World Economy Society has awarded the XV José Luis Sampedro Prize, within the framework of the XXIV World Economy Meeting held at the University of Seville, on May 27 and 28, 2024.
In this edition, the José Luis Sampedro Prize has been awarded to Hugo Campos-Romero and Óscar Rodil-Marzábal (University of Santiago de Compostela), for their work “Dimensions of sustainability: assessing the impact of technology intensity and global value chains in East and Southeast Asia”.
In addition, the work “Variants of (de)industrialization and tertiarization in developing economies”, by Adrián Rial (Complutense University of Madrid), Rafael Fernández (Complutense University of Madrid) and Andrés Maroto (Autonomous University of Madrid), received a second prize.
